FOUNDER and MANAGING PARTNER
Jim has been an investment banker since 1983. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stonepine Advisors, LLC, and his industry expertise covers the spectrum of technology companies with a particular focus on software and services companies and semiconductor and related companies.
Until June 2010 he was a Senior Advisor to Needham & Company, LLC, a nationally recognized investment banking and asset management firm focused primarily on serving emerging growth industries and their investors. He had been associated with Needham & Company, LLC, since January 2004 serving in various capacities including Head of West Coast Investment Banking and Head of the Software Investment Banking Group.
Previously he was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc., an investment banking firm, where he led the Systems and Semiconductor practice, and a Managing Director in the Technology Group of Warburg Dillon Read, the global investment banking division of UBS AG. From 1983 to 1999, Mr. Reilly was associated with Warburg Dillon Read or one of its predecessor companies and specialized in corporate finance advisory work for a broad range of technology companies. During his career, Mr. Reilly has executed a wide variety of transactions including equity IPOs and follow-on offerings, private placements, convertible and non-convertible debt and M&A transactions for a broad spectrum of companies in the technology, healthcare, and financial services industries.
Mr. Reilly earned a BA in Economics and Computer Science at Columbia University and is Chairman of the Board of Directors of PFSWeb, Inc., a $275mm revenue, publicly traded e-commerce services provider based in Allen, TX.
William J. "Bill" Long
Bill brings 25 years of venture capital and investment banking experience in the San Francisco Bay Area to Stonepine Advisors. Prior to Stonepine Advisors, Bill was an executive at Mohr Davidow Ventures, where worked with technology, life science and clean tech companies on equity and debt financing, as well as, and advised on mergers and acquisitions. His venture capital experience also includes co-heading TriplePoint Capital’s Private Equity Group where he invested with other leading venture capital and private equity firms and has a distinguished record of investment performance. Bill’s investment banking experience includes serving as a senior banker at JPMorgan in San Francisco and at predecessor Hambrecht & Quist, where he worked with a number of internet, technology and life science clients on raising capital and providing advice on mergers and acquisitions.
Bill began his investment banking career at Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore and San Francisco. Bill is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Satellite Healthcare, Inc. Satellite Healthcare is a $350 million in revenue healthcare services company with the primary business of developing and operating kidney dialysis centers. Satellite also owns a clinical reference lab, and genomics testing lab. Bill recently served as Executive Chairman at Satellite, where he led the company through a management succession plan.
Bill holds a B.A. in Business from the Loyola University, Baltimore.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr. Campbell serves as an outsourced FINOP and Accounting Consultant for Foreside clients. He is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reporting and regulatory filings for Broker-Dealer clients. Prior to joining Foreside, he worked with NASD, now FINRA as a Senior Examiner.
Additionally he as held Treasurer, CFO, CCO, and Chief Accounting Officer positions with a variety of firms in the industry. He is a CPA and holds FINRA Series 27 and 99 registrations.
Brett W. Wallace
Brett has been working with technology companies as an investment banker, venture investor and chief financial officer for over 25 years. His focus areas include communication and computing systems, semiconductors and other hardware components and solutions.
Most recently, Brett was the Senior Venture Principal for Vodafone Ventures. At Vodafone Ventures, he focused on all aspects of venture activity including identification, diligence, structuring and management of portfolio investments. Prior to joining Vodafone Ventures, Brett was a Managing Director at Excellerate Advisors, a boutique technology investment bank focused on providing strategic and advisory services to emerging growth companies. Previously, Brett served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Endwave Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed supplier of wireless radio solutions. Brett has held Managing Director, Investment Banking positions with Merriman Capital, Raymond James & Associates, Piper Jaffray & Co. and C. E. Unterberg, Towbin. Brett began his career with Lehman Brothers in 1986.
Brett holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
Glenn brings over 25 years of investment banking, corporate finance, strategic development, and investment management in the San Francisco Bay Area, Europe, and New York City to Stonepine Advisors. He provides secondary market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance advisory services to clients in the global growth economy. He has extensive advisory experience covering the TMT (Technology / Media / Telecom) and various other industry sectors worldwide.
Prior to Stonepine Advisors, Glenn focused on financial advisory services at RainMaker Securities (a merchant bank focused on private securities transactions for a global network of companies, shareholders, and investors including pre-IPO secondary markets, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and capital raising services) and global investment and wealth management at Merrill Lynch. Previously, while at Woodside Capital Partners, he was Head of Wireless / Mobile Investment Banking and other selected sectors with geographic coverage areas including USA, China / Asia, Europe, Israel, and other regions. Also, he was a Managing Director at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. overseeing the Investment Banking Group's wireless communications practice worldwide. Prior executive experiences in investment banking, financial advisory, and strategic development included East Peak Advisors (acquired by Friedman Billings Ramsey Group), UBS Warburg (now known as UBS Investment Bank), and Robertson Stephens (subsequently owned by Bank of America and FleetBoston Financial) where he originated and executed a variety of global technology advisory and financing transactions involving large and emerging-growth companies across multiple product areas, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and underwriting. Formerly in his career, he also worked in investment management and research managing portfolios of mutual funds.
Glenn earned a B.A. in Economics and Minor in Management at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
